Description
Embark on a strategic role to revolutionize agile practices, enhancing team dynamics and business outcomes.As an Agility Lead Group Director, you will manage a team of Agility Lead Managers who each manage their own team of Agility Leads (similar to Scrum Masters) and shape the strategic direction of solution delivery teams across functions. Leveraging your expert agile knowledge and extensive management experience, you will lead the development and implementation of innovative strategies that push continuous improvement, foster collaboration, and enable optimal delivery of high-quality product solutions. Your ability to exercise creativity, foresight, and judgment will be critical in shaping the future of our business practices. Your strong facilitation skills will ensure that all team members feel engaged, valued, and empowered to excel in their performance, ensuring the ongoing growth and development of our teams and the achievement of our strategic goals.
Job responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic plans for Agile Transformation to align with broader functional and organizational strategies and ensure the adoption of agile methodologies and best practices, enabling higher levels of organizational performance and delivery of high-quality product solutions
- Execute and manage Agile Transformation at-scale. Advocate and facilitate a cultural shift within the organization to include continuous improvement, collaboration, and high performance
- Coach teams and individuals to enhance agile capabilities, and ensure these principles are deeply ingrained in our everyday work
- Evaluate and optimize team performance, identify areas for improvement and implement tailored solutions to enhance productivity and efficiency
- Collaborate with senior leadership to influence the development and structure of the domain, quality standards, and service delivery
- Lead and mentor a team of managers on how to effectively uplift and support the Agility Leads in their organizations
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence while guiding your team to successfully implement agile practices across the organization
- Partner will our coaches to define and drive the strategic roadmap for the adoption of agile methodologies, ensuring alignment with business objectives
- Oversee the delivery of key initiatives that optimize agile processes for efficiency, productivity, and high quality. Continuously evaluate and refine practices to ensure ongoing growth
- Utilize your communication and presentation skills to manage and influence stakeholders at all levels
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 10+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in a relevant domain, with a focus on coaching individuals, leaders, and teams in agile methodologies and leading cross-functional teams
- Demonstrate expert understanding of products across relevant lines of business and of the product development lifecycle, including strategy, discovery, planning, design, implementation, testing, deployment, operations, commercialization, and maintenance
- Exhibit strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively guide, inspire, and influence teams and stakeholders 10+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in a relevant domain, with a focus on coaching teams and individuals on agile methodologies and project management
- Advanced knowledge of multiple product development lifecycle stages, methodologies, and best practices, enabling effective guidance and support for teams
- Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with experience in managing and developing high-performing teams
- Display advanced knowledge of agile delivery and multiple agile approaches, including Scrum, Kanban, Extreme Programming (XP), and scaling frameworks
- Ability to monitor agility metrics and guide teams through improvements, emphasizing iterative progress and adaptability
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at various levels within the organization, effectively guiding group discussions and decision-making processes
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training on Agile coaching, such as recognized coaching certifications
- Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional teams in a global or enterprise setting
- Experience in the Credit Card industry and familiarity with how Credit Card transactions flow
- Recommended skills include but are not limited to: agile delivery, business acumen, change management, continuous improvement, coaching, internal stakeholder management, strategic thinking, self-study, verbal communication, adaptability, and decision making
