Position Summary:
The Clinical Support Specialist provides clinical demonstration, instruction, training, and ongoing support for Straumann BLX and zygomatic solutions in a formal education environment as well as small group or individual presentations in a clinical setting. The CSS will provide instruction based on the indications for use (IFUs) for both surgical and restorative workflows, digital solutions and overdenture procedures. This role also provides support for new products as well as clinical troubleshooting.
This position is field-based and may require significant travel depending on territory needs.
Job Responsibilities:
• Clinical Education & Support
Provide clinical demonstrations and instruction on Straumann products, including indications for use (IFUs), features, and clinical benefits.
Deliver in-service education for new and existing customers to increase product satisfaction and successful adoption.
Offer ongoing chairside and virtual support for doctors and clinical teams, including restorative workflows, digital workflows, and treatment planning.
Support first surgeries and clinical implementations for Straumann BLX and zygomatic systems, either independently or in coordination with a TM.
Facilitate clinical use of new products and enhancements and gather feedback to share key learnings and best practices.
• Account & Practice Integration Support
Work with Territory Managers to ensure DSO clinics receive appropriate service, training, and clinical support.
Coordinate and ensure proper rollout of new products and solutions across assigned DSO accounts.
Routinely co-travel with Territory Managers to provide coaching and support to clinical teams.
Introduce, promote, and increase utilization of Straumann Group products within customer facilities.
Identify opportunities to increase share of wallet and expand product usage.
• Communication, Reporting & Best Practices
Provide clear and consistent feedback from clinics to the DSO Customer Success Management (CSM) team and leadership.
Share best practices for product usage, practice integration, and clinical workflows.
Participate in quarterly sales calls to update teams on strategy, product launches, and clinical updates.
Represent Straumann Group at the DSO's annual conference.
• Collaboration & Cross-Functional Engagement
Discuss treatment plans and restorative options with doctors to support optimal outcomes.
Work collaboratively with Marketing on training materials, presentations, and educational content.
• Other duties as assigned.

Work Environment:
• Field-based role requiring frequent travel (up to ~70%).
• Work involves supporting multiple partners, clinics, and stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communication, Dental Science, or related field OR RDH, CDT or Dental Assistant certification
• 3+ years of clinical experience in a dental environment; dental implant experience
• Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
• Dental laboratory experience or CDT accreditation is beneficial.
• Experience in treatment planning and case planning.
• Experience in DSOs or high-volume implant practices.
• Understanding of FDA Quality System Regulations, ISO Standards (ISO 13485), SOPs, and QSR compliance.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and perform under deadline pressure.
• Strong organizational and planning skills with high attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to educate group audiences and individuals effectively.
• Ability to work with diverse customer groups—clinical and non-clinical.
• Strategic thinking and strong business acumen.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstration of a player-learner mindset and willingness to adopt new digital tools and workflows.
Salary: $90,000- $100,000/Annually. The final pay for this position will vary based on geographic location and candidate experience relative to what the company reasonably anticipates for this position.
