* Lead the rollout of data ownership and stewardship models by clarifying roles and responsibilities across various departments within the organisation.
* Manage tools for data cataloguing, metadata management, and data lineage to ensure transparency and traceability of information assets.
* Collaborate closely with business units to ensure customer data is managed ethically in line with privacy regulations such as GDPR.
* Partner with technical teams to govern data assets effectively throughout their lifecycle from creation through archival or deletion.

* At least seven years' experience in strategy, data governance, data management or related fields within large organisations where you have demonstrated your ability to deliver impactful results.
* Proven track record of implementing successful data governance frameworks and policies that align with organisational goals while meeting regulatory obligations.
* Previous experience as a people leader where you have energised teams through feedback, coaching, communication, and support for professional growth.
* In-depth knowledge of established data governance frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK along with strong familiarity with GDPR or similar privacy regulations.
* Expertise in developing robust approaches for managing data quality including monitoring metrics aligned with business priorities.
* Ability to design practical policies and standards for governing information assets across complex environments involving multiple stakeholders.
* Excellent stakeholder management skills complemented by strong interpersonal abilities for engaging both technical specialists and non-technical audiences alike.
* Outstanding communication skills enabling you to facilitate discussions around best practices while building consensus among diverse groups.
