Overview
The Document Control Specialist will perform Engineering Records and Industrial Engineering duties for Connect & Control Technologies - Irvine. Perform tasks supporting cross functional groups with a focus on Product Engineering and Operations.
Responsibilities
- Generating and maintaining records within company systems (SAP, Windchill, JAMIS, and others), and computerized databases
- Reviewing of documents for completeness, accuracy and compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Coordinating resolution of document issues and discrepancies with the originators
- Processing and releasing documents electronically into systems/databases
- Creating engineering documents (Parts Lists) under the direction of Product Engineers
- Creating Manufacturing Bills of Materials with input from the Engineering Parts Lists
- Completing other tasks assigned by the Engineering Records Manager and Product Engineering Leads / Managers
- Communicating and coordinating with ICS affiliates, primarily Nogales, to support document requests
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (Required) - College (Preferred)
- 2 years minimum working in a fast-paced office/engineering environment dealing with customer interaction
- Previous experience with document control - handling new documents and change management
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook)
- Administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as managing files and records, and other office procedures.
- Attention to Detail, Dependability, Cooperation, Persistence and Flexibility.
- Ability to learn multiple data base transactions
- Ability to type quickly with minimal errors is critical due to high volume data entry
- SAP (or other ERP system) experience preferred
- Spanish verbal fluency (Preferred)
- Must be a US Citizen due to this position requires visibility to NO FORN / ITAR documentation
