- Donor Stewardship Specialist
Description
Responsible for donor data, gift processing, acknowledgements, and stewardship communications that support the organization’s mission to end intimate partner abuse. Supports donor stewardship in alignment with ethical fundraising practices and the principles of the Donor Bill of Rights.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- 30% Data Entry & Management – Maintain accurate donor records and process giving transactions. Monitor and update recurring and pledged gifts. Maintain timely and accurate donor communication and participation histories. Perform monthly donation reconciliation and biannual National Change of Address processes.
- 25% Gift Receipts & Letters of Acknowledgment – Maintain a library of IRS-compliant gift acknowledgment documents. Prepare accurate acknowledgments per details of each gift; coordinate staff signatures; and manage mail distribution. Assist with gift-related communication by phone, email, and in person.
- 20% Donor Communications & Campaigns – Support donor-facing communications across online, print, and digital platforms. Prepare mailing lists for campaigns, giving days, and appeals. Ensure alignment between communication platforms while honoring donor preferences.
- 15% Data Queries & Reporting – Build database queries and run reports to support fundraising, stewardship, and leadership decision-making. Provide updates on progress toward quarterly, annual, and other fundraising goals.
- 10% Internal Collaboration – Participate in development and communications meetings. Assist with events and activities that support donor and community engagement. Other duties as assigned.
STATUS: Full-time, non-exempt position with benefits. Flexible, hybrid schedule that requires 2–3 onsite days per week.

Requirements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: College degree preferred; equivalent experience considered. Experience with nonprofit data entry and database management systems is required. Familiarity with Blackbaud products is preferred. Criminal background check necessary before and during employment, per federal law. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required as needed. Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends.
OTHER: Comfort working in a Windows-based environment and skill with use of Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage confidential information with care. Excellent interpersonal skills and commitment to respectful, ethical communication. Shared lived experience with survivors served by the organization is a plus.
