Client relationships and marketing are integral parts of our business. Our Marketing team applies contemporary business-to-business marketing strategies to support the targeting of existing and new clients.
The role of Publications Manager helps KPMG China to establish industry authority through sectoral thought
leadership, demonstrating our subject matter expertise that helps businesses to gain executive buy-in and support investment decisions at key moments of challenge and change.
Key Responsibilities
- Content development and editorial support for thought leadership in various forms, including white papers, annual industry reports, opinion pieces, social posts, and newsletters.
- Translate complex survey results and market data into compelling, data-driven insights.
- Manage projects throughout the content lifecycle: conduct desk research, understand subject matter, develop narratives, conceptualise content, carry out primary research (such as in-depth and expert interviews), analyse third-party data, write and edit content, and drive marketing initiatives to amplify reach (e.g. repurposing long-form content for web, social media, and newsletters).
- Work closely with the wider Marketing team, including the media and creative teams, to bring content to life, ensuring it's visually impactful and digestible in the modern media landscape
- Provide content development and editorial support based on KPMG's editorial style and compliance guidelines
- Advise stakeholders - both internal and external - on considerations and suggest the best approach to achieve objectives through content thought leadership
- Orchestrate across lines of businesses, excel beyond editorial and content development, and position yourself as an active contributor in the wider Markets, Sectors and Business ecosystem
- Strong project management and stakeholder management skills. Able to work independently.
- Smart use of AI and digital tools with professional judgement
- University graduate
- Native fluency in English; proficiency in Chinese is an advantage.
- 4-8 years of editorial experience, ideally within financial services.
- Good understanding of the modern media landscape in Hong Kong SAR (and preferably Chinese Mainland), with the ability to develop platform-native content, including but not limited to long, short, and social forms
- Possess good business sense - understands how thought leadership and content can drive brand differentiation and enhance KPMG China's subject matter expertise, while facilitate business conversion
- A clear understanding of the firm's objectives and commercial priorities to intertwine these elements with content and thought leadership development
- Strong proven editing and writing skills, a key responsibility for the role
- Experience of running marketing campaigns with support and guidance from the wider marketing team
- Ability to work under tight deadlines
- Ability to handle multiple tasks as well as manage complex projects and prioritise work
- Pro-active and detail-oriented
- Strong project management and stakeholder management skills
- Flexible: ability to handle last minute issues
- Strong work ethic, resourceful and takes initiatives proactively
- Strong team spirit
- Candidate with less experiences will be considered as Assistant Manager
