Job Title: Project Manager - PKI SolutionsOverview
We are seeking a highly organized and technically savvy Project Manager with experience in Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) to lead and deliver enterprise-grade PKI initiatives. This role combines project management excellence with a strong understanding of PKI technologies, ensuring secure and compliant certificate and credential management across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Plan, execute, and manage PKI-related projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines, and budgets.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, IAM, and Application teams to integrate PKI solutions into broader identity and security strategies.
- Requirements Gathering: Work with technical teams and business stakeholders to capture PKI requirements, including certificate lifecycle management, trust strategies, and compliance needs.
- Vendor & Tool Coordination: Oversee implementation and integration of PKI platforms (e.g., Active Directory Certificate Services, Keyfactor, DigiCert) and manage vendor relationships.
- Risk & Compliance Oversight: Ensure PKI solutions adhere to industry standards (X.509, CA/Browser Forum Baseline Requirements) and internal governance policies.
- Process Optimization: Drive automation initiatives for certificate enrollment, renewal, and revocation using ACME protocols and enterprise CLM tools.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain project documentation, SOPs, and provide regular updates on KPIs, SLAs, and risk metrics to leadership.
- Change Management: Coordinate PKI-related changes through ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Remedy) and ensure smooth adoption across teams.
- Training & Awareness: Develop training materials and conduct sessions for administrators and end-users on PKI-enabled applications (SSL/TLS, S/MIME, Smartcards).
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience managing PKI or security infrastructure projects in enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of PKI concepts: Certificate Authorities (CA), Registration Authorities (RA), CRL, OCSP, Hardware Security Modules (HSMs).
- Familiarity with certificate lifecycle management platforms and automation tools.
- Working knowledge of cryptographic standards, compliance frameworks, and governance requirements.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and tools (MS Project, Jira).
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and vendor management skills.
- Technical background in security or infrastructure (hands-on experience with PKI is a plus).
- Certifications such as PMP, CISSP, or Microsoft Security/Azure credentials are desirable.
