The role
A Senior Project Manager within the S&C PMO will be responsible for end-to-end project management of internal strategic projects - from planning and execution to delivery and benefits realization - ensuring alignment with global strategic priorities and driving continuous improvement. The Senior Project Manager will lead and support internal project teams (the project team may consist of i.e., Enterprise or Solution Architects, Technical Consultants, Subject Matter Experts, etc.). The role is a huge personal development and learning opportunity, working in the successful delivery of high-impact, cross-functional strategic initiatives across the organization. Operating within the Global Project Management Office (PMO), the ideal candidate is an experienced project leader with a track record of managing complex internal initiatives in an international environment.
Responsbilities:
- Manage, execute and deliver internal strategic projects in alignment with organizational goals
- Define project scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, and success criteria in collaboration with executive sponsors and stakeholders
- Develop and manage detailed project plans and risk mitigation strategies
- Understand the depth and breadth of internal organizational functions and processes
- Facilitate the identification of project resource requirements to construct project teams
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across departments, regions, and time zones to ensure project alignment, transparency, and successful execution
- Facilitates workshops and trainings.
- Engage with executive leadership and key stakeholders to communicate project status, escalate issues, and manage expectations
- Identify and resolve project risks, dependencies, and conflicts, ensuring projects remain on track and within scope
- Monitor and report on project performance using standardized PMO tools, templates, frameworks
- Support the evolution and maturity of the S&C PMO through the adoption of best practices, process improvements, and knowledge sharing
- Build up a strong internal network in order to become a recognized expert or opinion leader
- Provide subject matter expertise and represent SWO and/or an acquired company in all project activities and workshops
- Support other project managers and contribute to capability building within the PMO
What we need to see from you
- Advanced level in project management, change management, and leadership
- Has excellent knowledge of all project management domains
- Experienced in working in a multi-project environment & implementing complex strategic projects with multiple streams.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid) and tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Asana. Power BI)
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in a global organization
- Advanced communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Preferrably proficient in English, Spanish, both written and spoken; German and other languages are a plus
