Job description - the role
On behalf of PwC, we are looking for a Workday Programme Manager for an initial 6-month contract based in London. It will be a hybrid model.
Join us as a Workday Programme Manager
To lead the end-to-end delivery of complex Workday-enabled HR transformation programmes, ensuring successful implementation across multiple workstreams while aligning with business objectives, managing resources, budgets, and timelines, and meeting stakeholder expectations
What you'll do:
- Leading the end-to-end delivery of complex Workday-enabled HR transformation programmes, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder expectations.
- Managing multiple interdependent workstreams, defining and controlling scope, budget, resources, and timelines to ensure successful delivery.
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining detailed project plans, tracking key milestones, dependencies, risks, and issues, and proactively identifying mitigations.
- Overseeing the coordination between technical teams, HR subject matter experts, vendors, and external consultants to drive seamless collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Producing comprehensive management and financial reports for senior leadership and steering committees, providing clear insights on progress, risks, and benefits realization.
- Engaging and influencing diverse stakeholder groups, including senior executives, HR leaders, IT teams, and external partners to ensure alignment, resolve conflicts, and maintain programme momentum.
- Applying best practices in project and change management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, PRINCE2), promoting adoption of structured processes and continuous improvement.
- Facilitating programme governance forums, including status meetings, decision-making workshops, and risk reviews.
- Managing programme financials, including forecasting, tracking spend against budget, and ensuring cost control.
- Championing quality assurance and compliance with organisational standards, audit requirements, and regulatory frameworks.
- Supporting the development of user adoption strategies and change management plans to maximize value realization post-implementation.
- Mentoring and coaching junior project managers and team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
The skills you'll need:
- Extensive experience leading large-scale Workday HR transformation programmes across Core HR, Talent, Payroll, Compensation, and Learning modules.
- Certified in Workday PM and HCM, with additional project management credentials (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/CSM) and strong knowledge of Workday architecture and integrations.
- Proven capability in multi-workstream programme management, including scope, budget, resource, and timeline control, with robust financial management skills.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and governance expertise, delivering high-quality reporting and managing competing priorities.
- Skilled in change management, user adoption strategies, risk mitigation, and analytical problem-solving within HR technology transformation environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, HR, IT, or a related discipline; a master's degree is a plus.
