Job Description
The People Partner Lead, North American Region (NAR), drives standardization in the execution of People Function policies and processes, ensuring consistent application and compliance to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. This role acts as a coach and thought partner to People Leader Partners, bringing deep expertise in employee and labor relations and serving as "primus inter pares" within the team as needed. The People Partner Lead is the primary advisor to People Leaders on complex and high-risk employee relations matters, ensuring outcomes align with organizational goals, legal compliance, and employee well-being. The role also advises Country Leaders on People strategies and responses to employee issues during periods of crisis or transformation and provides guidance to People Leaders and/or People Leader Partners on transformations (e.g., footprint changes and restructurings) from a local and legal perspective, with accountability for effective local execution.
Your role:
Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing People Partner and Compliance team by setting clear goals, monitoring performance, supporting career growth and succession planning. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, consistency, and service quality, and ensure accurate metrics and KPIs are implemented and maintained to track program effectiveness and inform decision-making.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local and regional employment laws and ensure policies and practices remain compliant. Manage People Function policies and processes related to reasonable accommodation with consistent, legally compliant, and compassionate handling, and oversee performance management programs by guiding managers through, implementation, monitoring, and documentation of Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) to ensure fairness and compliance.
Responsible for executing large-scale workforce changes, including reductions in force (RIFs), coordinating cross-functionally to ensure legal compliance, fair treatment, clear communication, and appropriate documentation. Handle sensitive restructuring with discretion while providing strategic counsel and project management through change. Develop and lead labor relations strategies, including negotiations with unions to achieve sustainable outcomes and maintain constructive relationships. Collaborate on global programs and projects to incorporate local considerations effectively and serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders on organizational design, employee relations, and complex HR matters.
You're the right fit if:
You've acquired 5+ years of experience in People Partnering or similar roles, preferably in a regional or global environment or 3+ years of experience with Master's in areas such as People Management, Change Management, HR Processes or equivalent.
Your skills include a proven ability to lead and manage a team, coach, develop, and influence People Leaders, while fostering a culture of high performance and leadership excellence. You have experience leading organizational change, business transformation, and People Initiatives that deliver measurable impact.
You have a Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, People Management, Change Management, HR Processes or equivalent.
You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position .
You're an excellent communicator with strong strategic influencing skills, able to challenge and guide People Leaders. You have extensive experience managing complex stakeholder relationships across various geographies, cultures, and businesses. You navigate ambiguity and high-complex situations, providing clear guidance and solutions. You operate with a high degree of autonomy, shaping and executing strategies while aligning with the People Business Partner.

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company's facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company's main facilities, generally at the customers' or suppliers' locations.

Philips Transparency Details
The pay range for this position in Nashville, TN is $123,000 - $195,000.
The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives, may be offered.
