Key Responsibilities
- Support risk data and analytics initiatives by understanding business (risk domain) and technical requirements.
- Analyze and integrate data from multiple risk-related source systems across the enterprise.
- Query, analyze, and present data using SQL and Python to support analytics initiatives and ad-hoc stakeholder requests.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and ad-hoc reports using self-service BI tools such as Power BI.
- Identify, track, and support resolution of data quality, reporting, and delivery issues.
- Coordinate and support stakeholder meetings; help document requirements, discussions, decisions, and action items.
- Identify opportunities to improve data flows, data quality, and reporting processes to enhance accuracy and usability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in special projects as assigned.
- 24 months as Senior Analyst
- 12 months as Technical Coordinator
- 4-6 years of experience as a Business Intelligence / Data Analytics professional within Banking or Financial Services.
- Functional knowledge of Enterprise Risk Management concepts including Operational Risk, Compliance, Regulatory Change, Technology & Cyber Risk, and programs such as RCSA, BC/DR, Issues Management, and Integrated Risk Management.
- Working knowledge of risk system(s) of record such as Fusion, ServiceNow IRM, Teammate, or similar platforms (preferred).
- Strong expertise in SQL and Python for data analysis and reporting.
- Intermediate working knowledge of Power BI or similar visualization tools (required).
- Solid understanding of data modeling concepts, data warehousing, data lakes, and data mesh.
- Exposure to Databricks, Snowflake, UNIX, shell scripting, or similar platforms is a plus.
- Understanding of conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support analytics and BI solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field; or equivalent proven experience.
- Degree from a Tier 1 institution preferred.
