As an Associate in the Capital Regulatory Reporting team within Finance, you will help prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on market risk for both internal management and external regulators. You will calculate the capital needed to cover market risks and support the team with regulatory changes and process improvements. As a part of Regulatory Finance, you will work closely with the Capital Reporting and Financial Reporting teams, providing financial information to major authorities and helping drive efficiency and innovation. Job responsibilities
- Prepare daily Market Risk Requirement reports under Standardised Rules for management reporting
- Produce quarterly COREP market risk reports for external regulators
- Serve as subject matter expert on regulatory capital calculations for market risk
- Participate in transition activities related to FRTB
- Review and investigate trends for line of business reporting and provide commentary
- Maintain control standards, adhering to firmwide and local controls around user tools, adjustments, and tracking of data/architecture issues
- Understand reporting model infrastructure and implement streamlined process solutions for efficiency
- Contribute to non-BAU tasks, including projects and policy matters impacting capital requirements
- Provide ad hoc MIS reporting and analytics as required by management
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Strong interpersonal and team working skills, with effective communication at all levels
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, vlookup), Access, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
- General accounting, reconciliation, and finance knowledge
- Degree qualification
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience in a regulatory finance environment
- Experience with Axiom and SQL at a user level
- Investment product knowledge
- Experience producing regulatory reports for financial authorities
- Ability to implement process improvements in reporting functions
- Experience with COREP reporting
- Familiarity with FRTB transition activities
