Description
We are actively seeking a Quality Compliance Specialist to join our team. This mid-level role is responsible for overseeing quality compliance activities, supporting product verification, and coordinating corrective actions across the organization.As a key point of contact for quality, this position works closely with Engineering, Production, and other cross-functional teams to ensure consistent quality standards, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement throughout our operations.
Overview:
The Quality Compliance Specialist is a mid-level role responsible for managing quality compliance activities, product verification, and corrective action coordination across the organization. This position serves as the central point of contact for quality matters, working collaboratively across departments to ensure consistent quality standards and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Quality & Inspections:
- Perform finished product inspections using measurement equipment to verify conformance to specifications and customer requirements.
- Coordinate and schedule inspections with Production and Engineering teams; review inspection data for accuracy prior to product release.
- Identify non-conformances and initiate appropriate corrective action or disposition processes.
Quality Documentation & Compliance:
- Manage the Certificate of Conformity process, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery to customers.
- Document deviation material reports (DMRs) for non-conforming materials and track through disposition.
- Maintain quality metrics and provide regular status updates to leadership on corrective actions, field incidents, and compliance activities.
- Maintain organized records for all quality documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Corrective Action & Field Incident Management:
- Manage corrective action reporting system and track ownership, deadlines, and completion across departments.
- Oversee field incident and product return documentation, investigation, and resolution processes.
- Facilitate root cause analysis and ensure appropriate corrective/preventive actions are implemented.
Cross-Departmental Coordination:
- Serve as primary point of contact for quality compliance matters across the organization and facilitate communication between departments.
- Support internal and external audits by coordinating documentation and facilitating auditor access.
- Support Engineering Change Order (ECO) review process for quality implications.
Essential Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Quality Assurance, Engineering, Business, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance or quality control roles, preferably in manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience performing product inspections and using measurement equipment (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.).
- Working knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001 or similar standards).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with quality management software or ERP systems (Oracle preferred) is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to interact professionally across all organizational levels.
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation and record-keeping capabilities.
- Ability to coordinate activities across multiple departments without direct authority.
- ASQ certification (CQA, CQI, CQE) is a plus but not required.
