Principal - Prairie View Elementary (PreK-Grade 5)
Eden Prairie Schools is seeking a visionary, student-centered leader to serve as an Elementary Principal. We are looking for a collaborative educator who is passionate about academic excellence, strong relationships, and creating a school culture where every student and staff member feels valued, supported, and inspired to grow.
Our elementary principals are instructional leaders, culture builders, and strategic problem-solvers who work closely with students, staff, families, and the community to ensure high levels of learning and belonging for all. This role requires a leader who can balance day-to-day operations with long-term vision, support and develop staff, use data to drive continuous improvement, and foster a positive and inclusive school environment.

Position Requirements
- Current Minnesota K-12 Principal License, or ability to obtain by start date.
- Master's degree required; Specialist or Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership or related field preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years of successful teaching experience required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of successful educational leadership experience preferred.
- Demonstrated experience supporting student achievement, staff development, and school improvement efforts.
- Experience leading or supporting diverse learners and inclusive educational practices preferred.
Qualifications
- Proven ability to lead a positive, student-centered school culture focused on belonging, engagement, and high expectations.
- Strong instructional leadership skills, including knowledge of curriculum, assessment, data analysis, and continuous improvement practices.
- Demonstrated ability to build trust and strong relationships with students, staff, families, and community members.
- Experience supervising, coaching, developing, and evaluating staff to improve performance and support growth.
- Skilled communicator with the ability to navigate complex situations with professionalism, empathy, and clarity.
- Ability to lead collaborative teams, facilitate problem-solving, and manage change effectively.
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, and ensuring all students have access to high-quality learning opportunities.
- Strong organizational and operational leadership skills, including scheduling, budgeting, safety, and resource management.
- Experience using technology and data systems to improve communication, efficiency, and decision-making.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically while managing daily school operations effectively.
Position reports to: Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Education
Starting Salary: $190,165 - $194,715 (dependent on education and experience)

Community Engagement Interviews: Monday, June 1st
