Summary of Position:
Working in concert with both the Physical Therapy Supervisor and Performance Director, this team member will analyze patient/client fitness in order to help them improve their health and performance. Services provided by this team member will include, but are not limited to: post-operative exercise testing, physiological testing, performance testing, data analysis, program development, community outreach and performance coaching. This team member is expected to provide the highest level of customer service with a sense of confidence, competence, courtesy and respect. This team member must be skilled with individual interactions as well as groups - ensuring a consistently exceptional experience at every interaction.
Requirements
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology or related field required, Master’s degree preferred.
Experience:
Three years working as Exercise Physiologist or Strength and Conditioning Coach required.
Experience with physiologic and performance testing preferred.
Extensive experience coaching in at least one of the following populations: athletes, general public and youth.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
In compliance with patient safety standards, must be able to effectively communicate in English; bilingual abilities preferred.
Ability to read, write, understand and spell English medical terminology correctly.
Experience with EPIC and MindBody preferred.
Moderate to advanced skills in a Google based organization.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to prioritize tasks and complete on a timely basis with minimal supervision.
Ability to deal with change and seek out opportunities to effect change positively to promote patient/client care.
Experience participating in or conducting research preferred
Experience with VO2, LT/AT, RMR, Bike Ergometry, Force Plates, GymAware, Optojump preferred
Sport coaching and related certification preferred
Certifications/Licensure:
National Certification as Exercise Physiologist, Strength and Conditioning Coach, CSCS, or Athletic Trainer preferred. (Required within six months of job offer)
Current CPR/BLS certification by the American Heart Association required.
