Our client is a leading Insurer, and they are seeking for an experienced Business Analyst to join the team.

The Role

Job Purpose

Key Responsibilities

• Requirements Management: Perform business analysis, elicit requirements, and prepare Business/User Requirement Documents (BRD/URD) for core life insurance projects, aligning with strategic operational goals across policy administration, underwriting, and claims.
• Solution & System Design: Participate in solution design workshops and review functional design specifications to ensure system capabilities support complex product logic (e.g., whole life, universal life, term, and investment-linked plans), premium calculations, and policy lifecycle rules.
• Risk Management: Identify operational dependencies, data compliance requirements, and risks throughout the project lifecycle, particularly during legacy system migrations, Policy Administration System (PAS) upgrades, and cutovers.
• Testing & Quality Assurance: Formulate end-to-end UAT strategies, test matrices, and scenarios. Validate system performance across complex scenarios such as underwriting decisions, policy alterations/surrenders, riders, and claims adjudications.
• Change Management & Training: Prepare standard operating procedures (SOPs), user manuals, and deliver targeted training to operations teams, agency/bancassurance support teams, and customer service representatives.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Drive end-to-end implementation schedules by liaising between business units, IT developers, third-party vendors, and QA teams.

Your Profile

The Person

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Risk Management, Insurance, or a related discipline.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 2 years' business analysis experience specifically within the Life Insurance sector.
• Solid understanding of the end-to-end individual life insurance lifecycle (including new business issuance, medical/financial underwriting, policy servicing, alterations, billing, and claims processing).
• Direct involvement in Core Policy Administration System (PAS) transformation or digital front-end/portal projects is highly preferred.
• Methodology: Strong practical knowledge of Agile, Scrum, or hybrid project delivery frameworks.
• Skills: Excellent data mapping, process flow documentation, and analytical skills to translate intricate life insurance product rules and policy conditions into clear functional specifications.
