Volunteer as a Financial Projections Reviewer with SEA Change for our social enterprise business accelerator! SEA Change is a 501(c)3 non-profit that provides social entrepreneurs with the tools to build their startup business plan and pitch desk! In this role, the volunteer(s) will receive each business's financial projections, provide 2-4 sentences of feedback, and rate the projections on five categories based on a provided rubric.

The time commitment is approx 20 minutes per business, up to 15 businesses in a 7-10 day period. This work can be split among multiple people. We are actively recruiting through June 30, 2026 but this is not a hard deadline; we will continue recruiting until the role(s) are filled. Work will take place in mid October-early November 2026. Previous examples of documents can be provided in advance to learn what type of information will be provided for review.

This is a great way to be introduced, not only to the 15 businesses in each cohort, but to the larger social enterprise ecosystem! SEA Change has a large support system of hundreds of business partners and entrepreneurs in Colorado and all over the country! If the volunteer has a preference, we can also provide them with an opportunity to speak live with the cohort in one of our virtual classroom sessions. Details can be discussed!

Requirements

We have no hard requirements other than being a financial expert and willing to volunteer! CPAs are preferred and folks in Colorado are strongly preferred.
