Description
We are currently partnering with a leading international bank who have a strong presence in the Asia regionThey are looking to hire a VP level Capital Reporting candidate into their finance team. This role combines MAS and SGX compliance, capital management, and change implementation to support the firm's regional growth. The position requires deep expertise in Singapore regulatory frameworks, Basel standards, and IFRS accounting, paired with strong communication skills to translate complex mandates into actionable business guidance. Alongside driving data reconciliation, variance analysis, and ad-hoc reporting projects, the ideal candidate will champion a robust governance culture to ensure transparent, efficient capital optimization and build trusted relationships with regulators.
This role will be responsible for the following:
- Manage and execute end-to-end Monetary Authority of Singapore reporting responsibilities
- Spearhead process improvements and automation initiatives for key reports, including MAS 1003, MAS 1111, and SFA Risk-Based Capital.
- Prepare and review various MAS, SGX, and prudential returns while keeping standard operating procedures and interpretation documents current.
- Evaluate structured trades and intricate deals to guarantee correct capital treatment and compliant regulatory reporting.
- Guide new products and transactions through the relevant governance committees for timely approval.
- Direct cross-functional implementation frameworks to ensure seamless and timely adoption of evolving regulatory requirements.
To be eligible for this role you will require:
- 8+ years of relevant background in capital or regulatory reporting within a banking or securities institution, featuring direct hands-on management of MAS 1003 or MAS 1111
- CPA, CFA, FRM, or an equivalent professional qualification.
- Familiarity with Asia-Pacific financial markets, diverse banking instruments, and their corresponding regulatory risk parameters.
- Demonstrate a robust foundation in regulatory standards, Basel capital frameworks, and structured change management methodologies.
- Practical familiarity with advanced regulatory technology platforms and policy management systems.
